I am the Tortoise

After 9 days of stims, I now have three more follicles that have joined the party.  That makes a grand total of 8.  Fatty McFatterson is still leading the pack at 19mm, with the seven dwarves ranging from 10 to 15mm.  Even if we have to sacrifice Fatty, that's still 7 possible eggs.  A hell of a lot better than the three that I started with!  I've been told to keep taking my stims for two more days.

This feels never-ending, but I'm hoping that slow and steady wins the race.

And now, I leave you with a picture of a the happiest baby tortoise ever nomming a strawberry.

  5. That's awesome. Slow and steady. I had to stim for 10 days. It's not fun, but I have everything crossed that it'll be totally worth it for you!

  10. Booyah! I knew those other guys would catch up... and 1.9 is still fine. Even if it gets to 2.3, it's probably good and not over-ripe or whatever. So happy IVF is still on the table for you guys instead of another "divert to IUI" sitch.

  12. This is great news A! I know going through this is torture. Waiting, is torture. But as silly as it sounds, visualize yourself as that adorable, strawberry munching turtle (because we all know she's totally fertile too!). It'll make you smile when you are starting to feel overwhelmed. Close your eyes... deep breath... cute turtle thoughts. Here, I will do it with you...
